- Hours: Wednesday & Saturday 6-9 pm (two sessions available at 6 pm & 7:30 pm)
- Children's Museum: only on the last Wednesday of every month
- Maximum capacity: 170 people per session
- Tickets are issued on a first-come, first-served basis
- Only the Meeting Place Ticket Booth is open after 6 pm (until 8 pm)
- No admission fee is required for the permanent exhibits, the Children's Museum, and temporary exhibitions except special exhibitions that require separate tickets for admissions.
- Visitors must get a free admission pass at the ticket booths before entering the museum.
- Backside Ticket Booth (behind the Main Exhibition Building)
- Open Plaza Ticket Booth (next to the Special Exhibition Gallery)
- Meeting Place Ticket Booth (west of the Reflecting Pond)

- Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 9 am-5 pm
- Wednesday & Saturday: 9 am-8 pm
- Sunday & Holidays: 9 am-6 pm
- Admissions less than an hour before museum closes may be possible without a free admission pass.
- Wheelchairs and baby strollers are available free of charge in the Great Hall.
- Storage lockers are available in the Great Hall.
- A nursing room is located across from the Museum Shop in the Great Hall.
- Guided Tours of the Museum's Collection Highlights are offered by professionally trained guides in all permanent exhibit galleries.
- All tours start at the information desk and can be cancelled without prior notice

- The Digital/Audio Guides are available for persons of age 14 and over.
- Personal ID is required for rental.
- Rental Fees: Digital Guide (PDA)-3,000 won / Audio Guide (MP3)-1,000 won
- Reservation is required for rental at least a day prior to the visit.
- Non-reserved Digital/Audio Guides may be rented at the museum on a first-come, first-served basis.
- Smoking is prohibited on the museum property except for in designated smoking areas.
- Food, beverages, and pets (with the exception of guide dogs for the blind) are prohibited.
- Cell phones must be turned off or switched to vibrate before entering the exhibition galleries.
- Do not touch artifacts or behave in any way that might damage cultural property at all times.
- Flash photography and use of tripods are prohibited in the galleries without prior permission.
- All types of photographies for commercial use including digital and video photographies are prohibited without prior permission from the museum.
- Riding bicycles, kickboards, inline skates, and rollerblades is prohibited on the museum property.
