1   Link   Kuala Lumpur
Kuala Lumpur is the seat of the Parliament of Malaysia. The city was once home to the executive and judicial branches of the federal government, but they have since moved to Putrajaya starting in 1999. Some sections of the judiciary remain in the capital.

The official residence of the Malaysian King, the Istana Negara, is also situated in Kuala Lumpur.

The city is also the cultural and economic centre of Malaysia due to its position as the capital as well as being a primate city.

Kuala Lumpur is rated as an alpha world city, and is the only global city in Malaysia, according to the Globalization and World Cities Study Group and Network (GaWC).

Georgetown Malaysia
Georgetown city is the capital of the Penang, Malaysia. It is situated in the Penang island. Georgetown Penang was founded in 1700+ by a British Trader Francis Light. Georgetown is one of the wonderful good travel destination. The majority race in the Penang is Chinese. There are many place of attraction in Georgetown especially historical cultural and building such as Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, Penang city Hall, Fort Cornwallis, Leong San Tong Khoo Kongsi and etc.

Kuching was conferred a city status on 1st August 1988, making it the second Malaysian's city after Kuala Lumpur. Due to its vastness the city was divided into two administrative areas: namely north and south. The City of Kuching North Commission or Dewan Bandaraya Kuching Utara (DBKU), in Malay, administrates the northern part and the Councils of Kuching South or Majlis Bandaraya Kuching Selatan (MBKS) the southern part.

6   Link   Shah Alam
Before 1963, Shah Alam was known as Sungai Renggam and was a palm oil plantation which was situated between Petaling Jaya and Bandar Diraja Klang while being connected through the only highway at that time, the Federal Highway.

Malaysia grew rapidly after its independence in 1957 under the ‘Father of Modernization’, the second Prime Minister of Malaysia, Allahyarham Tun Abdul Razak Hussein. Shah Alam was opened in 1963 with the purpose of making it the administrative center of Selangor once Kuala Lumpur was made a Federal District on February 1st, 1974. With the consent of 8th DYMM Sultan of Selangor, Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah Al-Haj on December 7th, 1978, Shah Alam was proclaimed the capital of Selangor with an area of 41.68 square km. Shah Alam had encountered several processes of extending its areas and the last was on January 1st 1997. Through the Gazette Plan 1190, Shah Alam was extended to 293 square km.

7   Link   Malaka
Malaka is known as a historical rich state and is recognised as one that epitomised the spirit of a nation, forged through the crucible of a tumultuous and intricate history.


Malaka was founded by Parameswara (or Raja Iskandar) the last Malay ruler of Temasik (ancient Singapore) in 1396 when he and his followers retreated up the straits to Muar, then tu Sungai Ujung before settling at Bertam near the estuary of Malaka River.

8   Link   Alor Setar
Alor Setar was discovered and founded by a Malay King, Sultan Muhammad Jiwa Zainal Adilin Mu’azam Shah II in the year (1710 – 1778). He was the king of the State of Kedah from the Hijri year of 1122 – 1174. In the beginning, Alor Setar was a village with a few houses situated at the confluence of two rivers.

When Sultan Mohamad Jiwa discovered the village, he was attracted to it – probably because it was surrounded by dense and green trees and situated where two rivers meet. His Highness therefore conferred with his ministers and decided to build a stone castle (kota), called ‘Kota Setar’. Indirectly the village was called Kota Setar as well.

9   Link   Miri
Miri, the second City of Sarawak, is situated in northern Sarawak, close to the Sarawak-Brunei border on the legendary island of Borneo. The City has grown phenomenally since oil was first discovered in the early 1900s, burgeoning into the modern and dynamic business, commercial and educational centre it is today. It is also the stepping-off point to many of Sarawak's world-famous national parks such as the UNESCO World Heritage Site Gunung Mulu, Niah National Park, Lambir Hills National Park and Loagan Bunut National Park, as well as other major tourist attractions. A state-of-the-art Marina attracts the international yachting community, and divers who are keen to explore the ‘under water jungles’ below.

10   Link   Petaling Jaya
n the early 50s, Kuala Lumpur experienced an overcrowding due to a rapid increase of residents and many squatter areas developed in the outer regions of Kuala Lumpur. In order to overcome this problem, the Selangor State Government had identified a rubber estate with an area of 1,200 acres in Jalan Klang Lama for creating a new settlement or settlement area to overcome the overcrowding as well as the squatter problems that had arisen. This settlement in the Petaling District was named Petaling Jaya to picture the hope of development so that this settlement will become a successful town (Jaya loosely translates in to ‘Success’).

11   Link   Kuala Terengganu
Kuala Terengganu is a district in the state of Terengganu. It has an area of 60,528.1 hectares and is the capital of Terengganu . It is also the Royal Town of Terengganu Darul Iman. Geographically, the whole of eastern part of Kuala Terengganu faces the South China Sea including Pulau Redang and Pulau Bidong are the main tourist destination in the state. The Kuala Terengganu town which is located at the wide estuary of Terengganu River crosses other district boundaries to Hulu Terengganu and Hulu Nerus. Once , this river was an important route for transportation and trading activities. In relation to this, a major part of socio-culture was influenced by sea-side and fisherman heart and soul. Traditionally, the people in this district are skillful fishermen, boat builders and sailors.
